I’m beyond excited to share my collaboration with UNIQLO! For the opening of the new RE.UNIQLO Studio at UNIQLO Meir, (End of September 2025) I designed a collection of upcycled accessories crafted from pre-loved UNIQLO garments.
Each bag charm, keychain and scrunchie is hand made in Antwerp by Valentine and her team at the Werkzaak a neighborhood enterprise of SAAMO that Valentine manages.
During the pre opening of the new store, De Werkzaak and Valentine hosted a workshop, where Habiba and Rachida from the Werkzaak created custom scrunchies and patches that Valentine helped design with the visitors.
In our textile atelier, we explore how linking local needs with local talent can create meaningful and paid employment. As their manager I’m proud to see this vision come to life through our collection.
